The U.S. Embassy in Tunis is seeking an individual to fill the position of Accounting Technician in the Financial Management Office.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:

The incumbent will serve as accountant for consular affairs program, diplomatic and consular programs and public diplomacy allotments. He/She will track non-post-held allotments such as, but not limited to, Department of Justice (DOJ), Treasury and the Iraq TDY support account.

Incumbent is also responsible for meeting all ICASS standards in the financial management cost centers. He/She will report to the Financial Management Officer through the FSN Budget Analyst. The incumbent will support other FMO staff and functions, as necessary. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Completion of secondary school and two years of university studies in accounting and/or financial management is required.

Experience: Must have three to five years of progressively responsible experience in accounts maintenance or related accounting work.

Language: Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing in English and Arabic, Level III (Good working Knowledge) in French is required.

Skills and Abilities:  Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
